Job Description
The Terrace Employee is responsible for all activities related to the terrace and the catering facility within the Curaçao Sea Aquarium. The employee ensures an optimal guest experience by providing service, preparing and selling food and beverages, and performing cashier duties.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Preparing the catering establishment for the reception of guests
• Selling goods and services and processing various payment methods
• Performing cashier duties including daily closing
• Preparing simple dishes (cutting, topping, preparing)
• Carrying out cleaning activities in the kitchen and terrace
• Answering questions from guests
• Placing orders twice per week
• Conducting monthly inventory together with the Manager
• Actively contributing to a positive team dynamic

Job Requirements
• Minimum VSBO / MBO level 4 (Hospitality)
• Minimum 2 years relevant hospitality experience

• Good command of Dutch, English, Spanish and Papiamentu
(Portuguese and German are a plus)

Job Description
As a part of Food & Beverage staff you provide a warm, friendly and efficient food and beverage service to our guests, ensuring exceptional service standards are delivered and maintained at all times, in line with our guest expectations. Also handling the billing and receiving payments in a timely, accurate and professional manner which ensures guest satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Provides outstanding customer service for guests.
- Receives payment from guests and distributes appropriate change.
- Serves food & drinks.
- Capable of following recipes and sanitation requirements.
- Can be cross trained in all areas of the kitchen.
- Ensures final quality check on food and beverage prior to serving guests.
- Keeps the terrace stocked and always cleaned.
- Answers questions and/or makes recommendations on menus as needed.
- Takes into consideration any special request, dietary issues made by the guest.
- Interacts with staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
- Maintains constant awareness of safety issues. Reports all safety incidents to the coordinator.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience as a food & beverage attendance.
- Service and customer-oriented character.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong sense of accountability.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Flexible to also be available on weekends and holidays when needed.
- Good knowledge of languages such as, Dutch, English and Papiamentu, and Spanish is a pre!

Job Description
As a Souvenirshop Attendant of Curaçao Sea Aquarium N.V. you are responsible for assisting guests with purchases, cashiering, stocking and displaying items while maintaining a friendly and courteous demeanor at all times to promote a positive sales environment. You have a flexible attitude, you think along with the customer and if necessary you can have a chat. Your biggest task is to sell as many gift shop products as possible, and you also ensure that the gift shop has a representative appearance. You also proactively think along with the range of the gift shop.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome/Greet guests and offer assistance
- Perform sales transactions and operate a computer based cash register
- Assist guests on sales floor with merchandise information
- Stock/restock store displays and warehouse/stockroom
- Receive merchandise and process inventory
- Maintain organization on sales floor
- Assist visitors with directions, information, etc.
Skills and Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Retail experience required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be available to work a flexible work schedule between 24 - 32 hours per week.
- Must be available to work weekdays, weekends and some holidays
- Customer-friendly and service-oriented
- Doesn't have an 8-to-5 mentality
- Representative
- Team player
- Good knowledge of languages such as, Dutch, English and Papiamentu, and Spanish is a pre!
