Job Description
As a cashier you provide a fast and friendly customer service while ensuring accuracy at the sales counter. You will be operating a cash register and all the duties which correspond to this activity. You will be also responsible to take reservations and make changes and issue receipts.
Key responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to all park guests to ensure customer satisfaction
- Operate cash register by compiling printed list, and display cost of customer purchase, tax, and rebates on monitor screen and issue receipt
- Familiar with the different products that the park has to offer as well as park events to upsell guests to other service levels and offerings
- Handling money and other means of payment and checking their validity
- At end of shift, totals cash register contents shown on register tape; verifies against cash on hand and register reports with supervisor
Skills and Qualifications
- Good knowledge of languages such as, Dutch, English and Papiamentu, and Spanish is a pre!
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Trustworthy when handling money
- Minimum of two years of experience as a cashier
- Communicate with our guests in a professional and friendly manner
- Solution-oriented and works well independently
- Basic math and accounting skills to ensure accuracy
- Is representative, correct and stress resistant

Job Description
As a part of Food & Beverage staff you provide a warm, friendly and efficient food and beverage service to our guests, ensuring exceptional service standards are delivered and maintained at all times, in line with our guest expectations. Also handling the billing and receiving payments in a timely, accurate and professional manner which ensures guest satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Provides outstanding customer service for guests.
- Receives payment from guests and distributes appropriate change.
- Serves food & drinks.
- Capable of following recipes and sanitation requirements.
- Can be cross trained in all areas of the kitchen.
- Ensures final quality check on food and beverage prior to serving guests.
- Keeps the terrace stocked and always cleaned.
- Answers questions and/or makes recommendations on menus as needed.
- Takes into consideration any special request, dietary issues made by the guest.
- Interacts with staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
- Maintains constant awareness of safety issues. Reports all safety incidents to the coordinator.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Functieomschrijving
De positie van Queen Conch Aquaculture Operator vereist praktische vaardigheden, de bereidheid om te leren en het vermogen om een breed scala aan functies te implementeren die nodig zijn om een Queen Conch-aquacultuurfaciliteit goed te runnen. De operator voert vastgestelde protocollen uit om de productiviteit van de broederij te verhogen en geeft feedback om de efficiëntie van de dagelijkse werklast te verhogen. De exploitant is verantwoordelijk voor de verzorging van de Queen Conch-eieren, larven en juveniels die zijn gehuisvest in de Queen Conch Hatchery van het Curaçao Sea Aquarium Park. De taken van de exploitant zijn gericht op het bieden van zorg voor deze zeedieren en het handhaven van een hoogwaardige en representatieve omgeving waarin deze dieren kunnen leven.
Belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden
- Care for the conchs during all stages of development.
- Water quality management.
- Food Preparation for cultured queen conch.
- Properly following feeding schedules and daily regimes.
- Cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Filling in daily logs and data collection sheets.
- Maintaining and cleaning tanks, containers, and tubing.
- Underwater work with CSA queen conch population.
- Collecting queen conch eggs in the dolphin pools.
- Collecting and culturing live rock.
- Social Media and Communications.

Vaardigheden en kwalificaties
- High school Diploma, minimum VMBO. (Preferably a completed Animal Care education (MBO level).
- Animal Care, Aquarium, or Zoo experience.
- Knowledge of marine aquaria, organisms, and/or ecosystems.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Deliver punctual and tidy work.
- Creative, energetic, flexible, loyal, realistic, and committed.
- Good swimming skills, open water dive certificate is a plus.
- Applicant should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Applicant should be familiar with basic digital photography and Internet applications.
- A good command of English and Dutch language, Papiamentu, and Spanish are recommended.

Patrol the park, inside and out (parking areas and building structures), assist the staff and the guests and make it your priority to deliver outstanding guest service.
