We use an Open Water System at our facility, which means that fresh seawater is continuously pumped into the aquaria and returned to the sea through overflows creating natural environments for all marine creatures without using chemicals or filters. Job Description
As a security guard of Curaçao Sea Aquarium your job is to provide a safe environment for the park. Patrol the park, inside and out (parking areas and building structures), assist the staff and the guests and make it your priority to deliver outstanding guest service. You will also need to perform other duties that may vary, as assigned.
Key responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service for guests
- Enforce procedures, regulations, and standards
- Respond quickly to critical situations/emergencies
- Protect property by maintaining a safe environment
- Monitor parking location and assist guests with their parking arrangements as directed
- Controlling access to buildings and protecting employees, guests, and the public
- Patrolling areas and performing security checks
- Ability to read and write detailed reports
Skills and qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience as a security guard
- Service and customer-oriented character
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Flexible to also be available for working different shifts, weekends and holidays when needed
- Good knowledge of Papiamentu, Dutch, English and preferably Spanish
